“Lifeboats”

You’re In The World, Get Off Your Feet

What a beautiful song.  The sound just sweeps you along, like the currents of a river.  Wyland consists of Ryan Sloan (lead vocal and guitar), Mauricio Salazar (guitarist) and Richard Joyce (drums). Bassist James Preston joins the band when they play live. Together, the group draws from their diverse backgrounds by carefully combining their passionate songwriting with ambient soundscapes and electric guitars.  Sloan’s voice has that same depth of Robyn Hitchcock, which is a super complement.  Wyland’s latest effort encompasses the bands heart and overarching, universal sound; a sound that is both unconventional and relatable.  The fact that they have shared the stage with Mumford & Sons is no surprise since they have that same folkish attitude.  Wyland is going to take the world by storm.
