Dawgyz

“VCR”

No Comply

It is so great to know the punk/pop is not dead, and Dawgyz have it down pat.  Ringing guitars, literal yet ironic lyrics (creative also, which really is missing in music nowadays), great vocals, and that singalong chorus.  This is great music.  I’ve missed this sound.  They sound 90’s (think Offspring) yet so 10’s.  Coming from Sacramento (pop punk seems to thrive in culturally dead areas), Dawgyz is comprised of Ryan Newlan – Guitar/Vocals, Joseph McCurdy – Bass/Backing Vocals, and William Duchessi – Drums.  Bands like Dawgyz are going to revive the pop punk/surf punk sound that we have so desperately missed in this time.  Thank you for reawakening my love of pop punk.

I’m always a little late To the punchline of my life Sit and watch my eyes dilate While I tell you I’m doing fine Turn on my TV To my false reality I don’t gotta think of you Don’t gotta think about anything Your VHS broke Inside my VCR Much like the old cassette deck That broke inside my car My procrastination I have from what you do to me Rewind the time or you’ll have to pay your fee I guess I’ll accept my fate And I’ll wait in the back of the line Sit and watch as I debate The blank look in the black of your eye Turn on my TV To my false reality I don’t gotta think of you Don’t gotta think about anything Your VHS broke Inside my VCR Much like the old cassette deck That broke inside my car My procrastination I have from what you do to me Rewind the time or you’ll have to pay your fee Your VHS broke Inside my VCR Much like the old cassette deck That broke inside my car My procrastination I have from what you do to me Rewind the time or you’ll have to pay your fee Your VHS broke Inside my VCR Much like the old cassette deck That broke inside my car My procrastination I have from what you do to me Rewind the time or you’ll have to pay your fee
