Thom Yorke & Mark Pritchard Announce Debut Album ‘Tall Tales’, Share New Single

Electronic pioneer Mark Pritchard and Radiohead/The Smile frontman Thom Yorke are teaming up for their debut album as a duo, Tall Tales, out May 9 via Warp Records. The album follows their previous collaborations, including “Beautiful People” from Pritchard’s 2016 Under The Sun, and last month’s single “Back In The Game.”
Alongside the announcement, they’ve shared a new track, “This Conversation Is Missing Your Voice”, which premiered on BBC 6 Music and comes with a striking video by visual artist Jonathan Zawada. Zawada, who designed the album artwork, is deeply embedded in the project, crafting a full-length film to accompany the music.
Pritchard, a UK electronic music legend known for Global Communication and collaborations with Aphex Twin, Depeche Mode, and PJ Harvey, brings his expertise with vintage synths and experimental textures. Yorke delivers a haunting vocal performance, weaving intricate, introspective narratives throughout the 12-track album.
To celebrate the release, Tall Tales will be accompanied by exclusive one-night-only screenings of Zawada’s film in select cinemas worldwide—details to come.
