Avant-pop duo OHHara has officially announced their debut album, Ode (out June 11), and with it, they’ve dropped their most ambitious single yet: “L.” This orchestral electro-pop odyssey builds on the duo’s genre-defying vision, following their previous releases “E” and “O,” crafting a sonic mythology that’s equal parts Homeric epic and hypermodern pop experiment.
The “L” music video is a fever dream of high art and high energy, starring Golden Globe winner Ron Perlman (Hellboy, Sons of Anarchy), who steps into the role of a Zeus-like conductor leading a moshing choir of Gen Z angels. Directed by Chessa Subbiondo (Charli XCX, Addison Rae), the film transforms Greek Tragic Theater into a futuristic, avant-garde spectacle, seamlessly integrating OHHara’s music with performance art and high fashion.
OHHara—comprised of Laurence, a French protégé of Alejandro Jodorowsky, and Denma, a former apprentice of free jazz pioneer Jerry Granelli—met in Paris theater school, and their work reflects that dramatic foundation. Their ongoing conceptual project, “x11z,” extends the mythology of Ode, weaving themes of rebirth, transcendence, and destiny through both sound and visuals. Collaborating with fashion visionaries Greg Ross and Shayne Oliver and designer Daemonte Phillips, OHHara is sculpting an aesthetic as bold as their music.
“L” is grand, chaotic, and deeply cinematic, proving that OHHara isn’t just making music—they’re engineering an artistic revolution.
