Los Angeles hardcore heroes Militarie Gun and Richmond fuzz-pop firestarter Dazy reunite for a knockout new single, “Tall People Don’t Live Long”, out now via Loma Vista. Following the buzz of their 2022 cult favorite “Pressure Cooker,” the duo is back with an even sharper edge—this time pairing big riffs with a tongue-in-cheek takedown of egos that grow too tall to see the ground.

Directed by Militarie Gun’s Ian Shelton, the track’s eerie, suit-clad video stars both Shelton and Dazy’s James Goodson, and premiered just days after the song debuted live during Dazy’s NYC show. “Tall People” blends pounding rhythm, raw distortion, and an arena-sized hook—feeling more like the anthem of a band fully becoming its own beast.

Shelton says the song “started as a joke about height, but turned into a commentary on the arrogance that comes with power.” Meanwhile, Goodson notes it was written “in one afternoon of wild inspiration—one of those songs you instantly know is the one.”

The track is the first new release from Militarie Gun since their breakout Life Under the Gun album, one of 2023’s most celebrated records, and follows Dazy’s recent EPs and single “Pay No Mind (To The Signs),” which have cemented his status as one of indie rock’s most exciting voices.

“Tall People Don’t Live Long” is a punchy reminder that collaboration this good deserves its own spotlight. Dazy x Militarie Gun isn’t just a crossover—it’s a whole new band.
