“Ghost Moves” is the lead and final single from Ghost Party’s highly anticipated debut album. Blending elements reminiscent of a lost 1970s Beatles solo track with the soulful rock balladry of the early 1980s, “Ghost Moves” is infused with a nostalgic vibe that echoes classic VHS soundtracks. The song narrates a poignant story of love gone wrong, depicted through a surreal sequence of events, and is amplified by powerful stadium rock choruses that intensify the emotional impact.
Bio: Ghost Party is a throwback to the psychedelic and Americana music of the ’60s, created by McCullough Ferguson. This project combines influences from iconic acts of the past with modern nuances, adding an eerie, otherworldly twist that echoes the mysteries of the afterlife.
Emerging from Houston, Texas in 2020, Ghost Party merges garage rock, cosmic country, and psychedelic sounds. As a former member of the psychedelic band Flower Graves, Ferguson has performed alongside music legends like Roky Erickson and groups such as Night Beats and Holy Wave. Ferguson, alongside bandmates Austin Sepulvado, Victor Sanchez, and Kendrick Ballard on bass, drums, and keys/mellotron respectively, brings this rich musical legacy into their work. The band has released two singles in 2023, produced by Steve Christensen, known for his work with Khruangbin. Ghost Party is gearing up to launch their debut full-length album.
