yunè pinku Unveils Immersive New EP Scarlet Lamb – A Bold Evolution in Sound + Tour Dates

Breakout singer, songwriter, and producer yunè pinku has released her highly anticipated EP Scarlet Lamb, marking a new chapter for the critically lauded artist. Scarlet Lamb delves deep into her electronic roots while pushing boundaries with lush melodies, ASMR-like intricacies, and a refined pop sensibility. Lyrically, the EP draws inspiration from gothic literature, with references to Jane Eyre, Dracula, and Frankenstein, linking yunè’s fascination with gothic fables to her Catholic upbringing. These influences, combined with the pressing societal themes of responsibility and guilt, create an immersive, multidimensional listening experience, making Scarlet Lamb her most personal and complex work yet.
Accompanying the release is the announcement of her headline show at London’s iconic ICA on November 29th, which follows a successful debut in the US last summer with standout sets at festivals like Primavera, Hard Summer, and Sziget. Currently, she’s supporting Barry Can’t Swim, and come November, she’ll hit the road with Caribou on his North American tour, with stops at renowned venues like The Shrine in LA and Massey Hall in Toronto.
In discussing the EP, yunè pinku reflects, “Scarlet Lamb is an exploration of innocence and guilt, subverting the Sacrificial Lamb fable. The songs grapple with shame, ecstasy, and everything in between. Sonically, it’s a shift for me, venturing into trip-hop and alternative electronic spaces that mirror my current influences.”
The EP’s early singles, including the airy collaboration with Cecile Believe, “Believe,” and the breakbeat-driven anthem “Half Alive,” gave listeners a taste of pinku’s evolving sound. The deeper cuts, like “Reckless Sensation,” with its rippling synth arpeggios, call to mind Massive Attack’s “Teardrop” for a new generation, while “Don’t Stop” channels the energy of Phantogram’s peak years. Closing out with the dreamy “Concorde,” pinku further demonstrates her knack for cinematic, headphone-ready pop.
yunè pinku first captured attention with her 2021 debut single “Laylo” and her debut EP Bluff, but it was 2022’s BABYLON IX EP that solidified her as an artist to watch. Drawing from sci-fi landscapes, psychology, and mythological references, BABYLON IX established pinku’s unique ability to blend ethereal electronics with structured, pop-forward songwriting.
Since then, she’s collaborated with artists like Logic1000 and garnered support from Joy Orbison and The Blessed Madonna. With high-profile press features and remixes for artists like Charli XCX, Disclosure, and Hot Chip, yunè pinku is quickly becoming a key player in electronic music, drawing admiration from industry heavyweights like Pete Tong and Giles Peterson, and fashion icons such as KNWLS and Gucci. Scarlet Lamb marks yet another bold step forward in her ever-evolving sound and artistic journey.
