Tove Lo Releases Second Album ‘Lady Wood’
Critically acclaimed, Grammy®-nominated multi-platinum artist Tove Lo, who has surpassed Spotify’s 1 billion-stream plateau, celebrates today’s release of LADY WOOD, her long-awaited second album via Island Records, with the premiere of her short film “Fairy Dust” in Hollywood.
Also today, tickets officially go on sale for Tove Lo’s first North American tour dates of 2017. The 11-city “Lady Wood Tour” of the U.S. and Canada opens February 6th at Showbox SoDo in Seattle, and wraps up at the 9:30 Club in Washington, DC on February 24th. Tove Lo‘s Gone Girl-inspired video for lead single “cool girl” was shot on location in Los Angeles by Swedish director Tim Erem (credits: Tove lo’s “Moments”; Nick Jonas’ “Close” featuring Tove Lo; Rihanna’s “Work” featuring Drake; Major Lazer’s “Lean On” with DJ Snake featuring MØ and more). “Fairy Dust” is a raw and bold new short film in which Tove Lo makes her acting debut alongside “alter ego” co-star Lina Esco (Kingdom, Flaked). Tove Lo’s most ambitious video project to date, “Fairy Dust” was co-written by her with director Tim Erem. “Fairy Dust” features five songs from LADY WOOD, including the newly released track “True Disaster” along with “Influence,” “Lady Wood,” lead single “cool girl,” and “Vibes.” The film can be viewed worldwide on VEVO starting Monday, October 31st.
