Lana has done it again. She has taken a classic and tweaked it to fit her personality as the bad girl with the heart of gold. Gone though is the phony over-production, and instead, the focus is on Lana’s voice. No doubt she has one of the best voices, and when she whispers, as in “Doin Time”, no one even comes closer to the embodiment of sexuality. Taking her name from Lana Turner is no accident. She has sex and style. Thank you, Ms. Del Rey, for showing us that bad girls can be good, and vice versa.
