SEE: The Governor’s Ball | June 7-9, 2024
New York City’s premier music event, Governors Ball 2023, makes a grand return for three days this weekend in Queens.
The excitement begins at Flushing Meadows-Corona Park from noon on Friday. We’ve gathered all the essential details for you, including daily lineups, permitted and prohibited items, and much more.
Traveling to the Festival
This year, the festival finds a new venue at Flushing Meadows-Corona Park in Queens, marking a first in its history. Previously, it was hosted near Citi Field.
To reach the park, attendees have two main public transport options. Those traveling via Amtrak or NJ Transit should disembark at Penn Station-NY and catch a Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) train on the Port Washington branch headed to the festival. Alternatively, if arriving at Grand Central, the 7 train is the way to go. The Mets-Willets Point stop serves both the LIRR and NYC subway routes.
For cab or rideshare users, a specific pick-up and drop-off zone is established on Shea Road. Cyclists can park their bikes near the main entrance, though they need to bring their own locks.
A crucial point to note: There is no parking available for the event, so the festival organizers strongly recommend using public transportation.
