Open Your Mind: Tiavara – “Celestial Dance”
Tiavara
“Celestial Dance”
Delusional Tales Of Grand Intentions
Tiavara is a Russian heavy metal band that proves have absolutely beautiful heavy metal can be. The foundation of the band was established by brothers Tikhon (lead guitar) and Danila (drums) Pachin in 2012, and after performing covers of Scars on Broadway, Marylin Manson, The Cranberries etc., the pair joined with Aleksandr Bogdanov (rhythm guitar), Rostislav (Rost) Prus (bass), Egor Veryovkin (keyboards, percussion, backing vocals) and Arte Vardanyan (vocals) to solidify the official Tiavara line up in 2014. This band has such a beautiful style. Vardanyan especially has such a beautiful baritone voice, which is quite in contrast with the usual high tenors or demonic voiced lead singers. Their original material is very daring, especially for a Moscow-based band.
The album’s first single, “Celestial Dance” is a protest against seeing the world in absolutes. It is also about accepting oneself through understanding both one’s flaws and virtues. Absolutism is a subject that pervades many of the band’s songs, as Tiavara strives to promote open-mindedness.
This is seriously one of the most important and perfect heavy metal band.
