Are you ready to be CHAINED?

Lady Gaga’s Superstar Super Bowl dazzler might keep us chained for some time, but at this moment in time I ask you to turn back the clock to another Super Bowl sparkler – Katy Perry and Chained to the Rhythm, her lead single from her upcoming album.

Desperate to steal back the spotlight we find Miss Perry’s attempt to chain us down and awaken our minds to the harsh world around us. Can’t musicians stay artists and leave the politics to those we elect? Perry’s calls to actions failed for Secretary H. Clinton and there are no Fireworks for me either…

Friday February 10th won’t be known as the day the Dark Horse‘s career ended but her Grammy performance this Sunday may prove to do just that.

This past week you may have spotted this odd looking chained disco ball at Brooklyn’s McCarren Park. Little did you know that it held this coveted title co-produced by a Katy Perry original – Max Martin.

Let’s “dance, dance, dance” as we  for the beats of Roar and the novelty of love in Teenage Dream to once again grace our headphones.
The voice of Rise expects us to feel uncomfortable in our “bubble” asking her Katy Kats “Are we crazy?”

The winning verses belong to Bob Marley’s grandson Skip who puts a time clock on the Trump empire.

No other parallelism is more apropos than the song’s own music video featuring a miniature creation of the white picket fence lives of everyday Americans.
Take a listen below and don’t forget to tune in to the 59th Grammy Awards hosted by the Late Late Show’s James Corden.
