With a voice that can lift your spirits while still sounding worldly, Hans York has put together a jazzish trio that delivers with every note. After 33 years performing music, York decided to get back to his Americana routes, recording this CD with his friends Eva Scow and Kevin Hill in mostly one take in Fresno, CA, not exactly a fast track city. The resulting music is light but never frothy, substance and jazz, folk and funk. Enjoy this CD. I do. This is great summer music, reflecting that Americana roots of York’s youth.
