V**gra Boys Announce New Album & 2025 Tour – Tickets Available Now!
Stockholm post-punk band V**gra Boys (= “ia” due to spam filters) have announced their new album, V**gr aboys, set for release on April 25th via their new label, Shrimptech Enterprises. Co-produced by longtime collaborator Pelle Gunnerfeldt and the band, the album blends sharp observational humor with a unique take on dismantling both everything and nothing. The artwork, designed by Leo Park, explores these themes further.
The first single, “Man Made of Meat,” draws from frontman Sebastian Murphy’s experience touring U.S. Walmarts with Queens of the Stone Age. The track features driving basslines and sharp guitar riffs as Murphy humorously tackles OnlyFans culture and dreams of free L.L.Bean sweaters, ultimately confessing, “I hate almost everything that I see, and I just wanna disappear.” The single is accompanied by a video directed by Daniel Björkman, which explores the chaotic intersection of art, money, and creativity in the modern age.
v**gr aboys follows the band’s 2022 album, Cave World, a scathing satire on conspiracy theorists and anti-vaxxers, which earned them a Late Night TV debut on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and coverage from outlets like NPR, Pitchfork, and The Fader. This time, Murphy takes a more introspective approach, saying, “The whole political thing was exhausting… this album is simple and stupid—because that’s how I am.”
V**gra Boys have also announced their Infinite Anxiety Tour 2025, starting at Coachella on April 12, followed by European and UK dates in April and May. They’ll return to North America for their first headline shows in two years, kicking off September 10 in Vancouver and hitting major cities like Chicago, New York, and Atlanta. Tickets are on sale now.
