Kamikaze K-Rob Biggest Artist Out of the O Since Machine Gun Kelly
Kamikaze K-Rob is one of the most musically talented artists to come out of Ohio since Machine Gun Kelly, his versatility on songs such as his latest mixtape Street Scripture Volume 1 has some good melodies such as the chorus on “Knock You Down” where he croons “niggas want to knock you down/but only when they see you on top”. Kamikaze K-Rob who is signed to the independent label Street Strategic Entertainment is definitely on the way to the top. Check out the interview below:
When did you decide to be a rapper?
I been writing music since about 12. I didn’t start recording until 2013 or 2014.
What is the local music scene like in Ohio?
It’s poppin off, it’s so much talent out here. It’s talent all over Ohio.
What separates you from other artists?
I think about what the world wants to hear. I switch things around in songs and just don’t rap about street violence. I come from different angles and can do a song about anything.
What are some of the biggest obstacles trying to get your music heard in a smaller market?
You have to really push yourself on social media, get out and meet people and make connections. Also you need a marketing budget and some bread to push your music.
Who are some of your influences in music?
Gucci Mane, 50 Cent, and Philthy Rich.
What is Street Strategic Entertainment?
That’s my brothers label G Stacks and I known him my whole life. We been planning this for a minute.
Tell me about you new mixtape?
I got a new mixtape coming out and we shot about 8 videos and thats going to be released in a little bit.
Whats next for Kamikaze K-Rob?
Shooting videos, doing some shows, we working.
