The Racer is an unbelievably complex band.  This is beautiful music.  “Spiral Staircase” is a cinematic masterpiece.  The video so well captures the whole mystery of this single.  What is amazing is that The Racer is known as an album band, but this year, they decided to go a different route and produce singles instead.  And it has turned out to be a wonderful idea.  The Racer, an independent band from Monroe, NY consisting of Pete Marotta (vocals, keys), Mike Esserman (guitar, keys), Steve Kondracki (guitar, keys), Eric Sosler (bass, keys), and Mike Perri (drums, percussion).  Check out all their singles they have released this year.  I’m hoping that they gather them together as the Beatles used to do.  Some of their other singles from this year are “Apogee”, “Skeptic”, and “Isolation”.  I recommend you check them all out.
