Blues For All: Kennan Moving Company – “Charades”
The Kennan Moving Company
“Charades”
No Fun
Kennan Moving Company began as the solo project of Oliver Kennan (guitar, lead vocals). In May 2014, he recruited the rest of the band, which now consists of David Tedeschi (drums), Bennett Miller (bass) and David Luther (keyboards). Influences for the band include Arcade Fire, Sufjan Stevens, Mayer Hawthorn and Vulfpeck. A bluesy mix of horns and keyboards supported by guitars, great wonderful organ blast, a heavy moving bass line, and a pounding base, you get a sound that reminds me of early 70’s bands like Ides of March or Blood, Sweat, and Tears. And with a great video that is funny and creepy at the same time. Very interesting. I love this bands.
