Asher White Signs to Joyful Noise, Shares Mesmerizing New Single “Kratom Headache Girls Night”

Rising avant-pop force Asher White has officially signed to Joyful Noise and is kicking things off with a vivid new single, “Kratom Headache Girls Night.” A NYC-by-way-of-Rhode Island multi-instrumentalist, producer, and visual artist, White’s experimental, deeply personal sound has earned acclaim from Pitchfork and co-signs from Caroline Rose, Deerhoof, and Black Country, New Road. Her 2024 album Home Constellation Study marked her 15th full-length at just 25 years old—and she’s just getting started.
“Kratom Headache Girls Night” is a lush, layered night-out chronicle set at Bushwick’s Misfit bar, laced with both joy and looming existential weight. Think Sufjan Stevens-level arrangements colliding with the glitchy chaos of Fire-Toolz and Water From Your Eyes. It’s warm, woozy, and wrapped in the bittersweet haze of end-times euphoria.
Asher joins Godcaster at NYC’s Nightclub 101 on April 22 as part of their residency and will appear at Liberation Weekend in DC. A fearless voice in underground pop, she’s crafting a new kind of future—one glittering, glitching track at a time.
