LAKE Announces New Album ‘Bucolic Gone,’ Out March 7 via Don Giovanni Records

LAKE, the indie trio rooted in the lush landscapes of Puget Sound and the sprawl of Los Angeles, returns with Bucolic Gone, their first album in five years, out March 7 via Don Giovanni Records. Pre-order HERE.
Today, they drop their latest single, “Love Is Deeper Now,” a dreamy duet featuring Daisy Jaberi (Suver). Blending airy drum loops, syncopated marimbas, and harmonies reminiscent of Arthur Russell’s disco trance pop and The Cranberries’ “Dreams,” the track is a lush meditation on love’s transformation. Watch the video HERE.
Bucolic Gone is LAKE’s 10th full-length release, a polished sophisti-pop record that’s groovy, introspective, and full of rich textures. The album features a stellar lineup of collaborators, including Nicholas Krgovich, Karl Blau, Mark Buzard (The Format), Eric Vanderbuilt-Matthews, Steve Moore (Earth, Sunn O))), Sufjan Stevens), and Jenn Grant.
From the grief-stricken depths of “Blue Horizon” and “My Dear Brother” (written after Ashley Eriksson lost her brother to COVID-19) to the soothing clarity of “Airplane” and the breezy reprise of their Adventure Time cult hit “No Wonder I,” the album moves through sorrow, healing, and light.
Recorded at The Anacortes Unknown Recording Studio with Nicholas Wilbur, Bucolic Gone showcases Eli Moore’s meticulous production, blending intimate storytelling with layered instrumentation.
LAKE is also hitting the road, with a full North American tour and a packed SXSW schedule. Full tour dates below—don’t miss out!
