Bodysync returns with an exhilarating rave-pop anthem, “Bailar (I Want To Dance),” featuring the enchanting vocals of Honduran-Canadian singer-songwriter Daniela Andrade. This track is the final teaser before the release of their much-anticipated second album, NUTTY, set to drop next Friday, June 28, via Buddies Inc. With its driving piano chords and Andrade’s ethereal, whispery voice, “Bailar” promises to be a dance floor favorite.
“Daniela is one of our favorite artists to work with. She never overwrites and seems to instinctively know how much a track needs,” Bodysync commented on their second collaboration with Andrade. Following the success of previous singles “Rock It” and “Babies,” this latest release continues to build excitement for their sophomore full-length, already attracting buzz from CBC, Exclaim!, Paste, Stereogum, Uproxx, and many more.
Nutty features twelve dynamic tracks rooted in 90’s rave music, while seamlessly blending elements of indie and pop punk. Bodysync, the brainchild of Ryan Hemsworth and Charlie Yin (AKA Giraffage), has focused on this project since their acclaimed debut album, Radio Active, dropped in 2022. Describing their music as “dance music by fans of DIY punk and Y2K pop, with a healthy dose of absurdity,” Bodysync has previously collaborated with artists like Tinashe, Devin Morrison, Dazy, and Nite Jewel. Individually, Hemsworth and Yin have impressive resumes, having worked with Joji, Japanese Breakfast, Mitski, E-40, and Doss, as well as crafting official remixes for Carly Rae Jepsen, Porter Robinson, ODESZA, and Lana Del Rey.
