Evi Vine

Sabbath (single edit)- Featuring Simon Gallup

Black Light Dark White

Some of the best Goth I’ve heard in a long time.  Evi Vine’s voice just takes over and brings you to a darker, more personal, rather claustrophobic world.  On this beautiful single, Evi Vine’s gossamer vocals and precise orchestration are cleverly woven together with bass guitar by Simon Gallup of The Cure and guitar by Peter Yates of Fields of the Nephilim.  Another beautiful, apocalyptic album (seems to be the theme), Vine and her group mine the deepest despairs and insecurities of the present world, managing to make gorgeous music at the same time.  Altogether, this is the perfect music for midnight snow storms and watching end of the world programs or a nice copy of Dracula.
