Adam Lambert step aside the king is back atop his throne. This year marks #14 for FOX’s American Idol. Six years ago we watched Kris Allen ascend the stage to accept his crown and today he continues his North American tour. Kris uses his AI power and includes other alums like Melinda Doolittle in his national gigs. You can even watch them tonight, Veteran’s Day November 11th, at 8:00PM Eastern for the America’s Veterans Musical Tribute by clicking here for the live stream.

Back in the US after a detour to Calgary, you can be sure to catch Kris belting out his 4th studio album. Okay fine he won’t be belting out anything. Kris is the softest most easygoing singer around. Kris wrote Horizons in the heart of country, Nashville, Tennessee and this album certainly is infused with his love of acoustics. Catch him from tomorrow through the end of January, from Cali to Georgia, at http://krisallenofficial.com/tour/ and for VIP: http://www.krisallenvip.com

His new album Horizons has taken on much acclaim and even had a track, Lost, featured in a recent episode of the CW’s Arrow. The album showcases both the work of producer Charlie Peacock and the coffeehouse talent of Kris’ finger-picking style of guitar playing as a car wreck broke his wrist forcing on a change.

The Live Like We’re Dying singer has had more than his fair share of ups and downs. RCA Records gave him the boot back in 2012 after Thank You Camellia wasn’t the hit they expected. So this time around, Allen opted to launch his own label, DogBear Records, for its release and promotion efforts. RCA has become prone to dropping AI talent, having released both David Cook and Lee DeWyze from their chains. I guess RCA only wants superstar acts like Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood and Jordin Sparks on their turf or are they dare I say just anti men?

Watch the single, Prove it You featuring Lenachka, above and leave your comments below. Does Kris still have the IT factor?
