Power Pop Alive: The Rareflowers – “New Generation”

    “New Generation”

    The Rareflowers

Power pop is back with a vengeance, and The Rareflowers, from New Brunswick, NJ, are the designated torchbearers.  Comprised of brothers Jimmy (guitar, lead vox) and Kane Maraday (bass, vox) and joined by Aaron Gollubier (drums), The Rareflowers have glittering guitar, strong bass and drums (to propel), and vocals harmonies only brothers can truly have.  This is a song drills its way into your head and makes you happy as hell.  Reminding me of the Cars but less mechanical and more organic, The Rareflowers are the band that power pop really needed.
