It’s going to feel like the longest summer ever as Last Gang Records / Warner Bros. Records announces that Death From Above 1979’s sophomore album, The Physical World, will be released on September 9, 2014. Ten years after the band’s highly successful debut album, You’re A Woman, I’m A Machine, the band will drop the not so patiently awaited follow up album, produced by D. Sardy (Red Hot Chili Peppers, LCD Soundsystem, Wolfmother, Oasis) on the heels of their first Toronto festival play in years, when they play Riot Fest on September 6 / 7th.  The band sat down with NME to talk about the new album’s release and reuniting.  Check out that exclusive interview – here.  Earlier this spring DFA1979 released teaser tidbits from the album.  You can have a listen at deathfromabove1979.com.  Check out a live version of one of their new songs below:
