Antonio Johnson known professionally as Xclusiv Tone was born on the West Side of Chicago and spent his formative years growing up in Chicago’s Holy City. Xclusiv Tone started rapping in seventh grade after his mom put him on punishment for smoking weed as a way to express the problems he was dealing with that he didn’t feel comfortable telling people about which included growing up and being the man of the house and not having a father figure and trying to get money for his family at a young age, themes he discusses in his music. He was encouraged to take his career more seriously after winning a Poetry Slam in high school. Xclusiv Tone released a few underground music videos before finding critical success with his first single titled “Out the Way” which has gotten radio airplay on 92.3. accompanied with a cinematic music video. Xclusiv Tone recently released his mixtape hosted by D.J. Mil Ticket. He is a versatile artist that can appeal to drill and hip hop crowds alike. He has performed at venues such as Subterranean, the Stadium, and several venues in the Southland of Chicago.
