Fuckin’ Up My Name
Vulnerability wrapped up in bravado. That is what you get with Cyrus Gengras. His music is like a delicate painting with a splash of color across it. The album’s title describes a universal feeling of vulnerable otherness, of being misunderstood, of not being heard, which serves as a loose theme to the collection of songs: the outsider’s internal monologue. Fuckin’ Up My Name is amazingly a great album, very beautiful, though sometimes you feel like your eavesdropping. This is a very beautiful and gripping album.
