Synth Pop For Today: Ski Lodge – “My Friend”

Ski Lodge

“My Friend”

Andrew Marr is Ski Lodge.  The multi-instrumentalist from Brooklyn has released a tremendous song harkening back to the great synth New Wave bands of the 80’s like Orchestral Maneuvers In The Dark and Simple Minds.  In fact, if John Hughes were to make “The Breakfast Club” today, “My Friend” could easily be the lead song.  According to Marr’s bio:

New single “My Friend” finds Marr blending contemporary indie and pop music with layers of 80’s new wave & dream pop.

All I know, this is a great song.  I am so impressed and excited by this artist.  Check him out.
