Phoebe Bridgers, Lucy Dacus, and Julien Baker combined to for a supergroup, much as Crosby, Stills, and Nash did in 1969. You get three of the greatest talents ever together, you are going to get fantastic song writing, great guitar player, and tremendous vocals. The combination of the three make such impressive music. Each one of them plays off the other so well that they all shine. I never thought that Bridgers, who I love and (with the other two) are my go-to singers for when I’m blue, could be pushed out of her comfort zone and warble with the best of them. Every song on this EP is great, but the stuff that’s not is equally great and should be released also. This is it, guys: my choice for the best record of the year. Thank you, guys. There is a sense of cooperation on this album that is tremendous. Together or singular, these three are the best in their field. Listen and you will know why.
