What an interesting song. MOTTRON has a voice that doesn’t seem earthly, and the way he uses pianos, well, it shouldn’t work, but somehow it’s perfect, and you walk away (with the song in your head) wondering why not everyone uses pianos like he does. As his press states:
Mottron’s music is made of wood, strings, and pianos, cut and chopped, rethought through electronics and machines to create an all too vulnerable humanity.
The vulnerability in his voice is poignant, and the way his fingers merge with the piano is amazing. They react as if they are the same being, which they just might be. I love dreamy music, and MOTTRON is like a dream, whether good or bad depends on your interpretation.
