What a song; what a beat. “Pulse” starts calm enough, and all of a sudden, that strong bass line takes over, and, next thing you know, you’re dancing to the nearest graveyard. Vivian Moon, better known by the moniker Pastel Ghost, is from Oakland, and must have been spoon fed on a steady diet of My Bloody Valentine and The Cure. It is artists like Pastel Ghost who make sure we realize that dance/electronic music can have balls. I love this. Moonlight dancing, anyone? Who knew Goth could beat like this.
