    HEAR: FLORALS – “Moon”

    “Moon”

    Kin Of Mine

Often, when I see bands play around with the spelling of their name, I think, ‘get the poison; it’s goodbye world’.  Well, I was wrong.  FLORALS deserves their name to be shouted out, because their music is quiet and grows on you.  Like the best of dream pop bands (and FLORALS is one of the best), their music sneaks up on you and engulfs you in aural beauty.

The Grey Estates raves that their music is “suited for those summer days where it’s too hot to go outside, but too beautiful to stay inside, so you end up soaking in the sun, dazed and dreaming.”

I so wish I had said that, this describes the beauty of their songs so perfect (and you’re right; I will say that’s my line).  Enjoy them during these last, hottest days of summer.
